    After 63 years of struggling with depression I realized a simple rule of life that others must find natural. I have had for as long as I can remember what I called spontaneous negative thoughts. It was diagnosed as OCD. Suddenly about a year ago as I was drifting off to sleep I suddenly had some spontaneous positive thought. Maybe my 30 years of medication finally kicked in. It was like “OH. THAT IS WHAT LIFE IS SUPPOSE TO BE!” We are suppose to have memories that are good. Now when I get a spontaneous negative thought I start to think of a time when I was having fun about the same time as the negative thought. The negative thought goes away instead of hanging on like a tick.
    So the next time you think about the time when you came out of the bathroom with toilet paper hanging out of your pants. Think about the fun you were having before that event. We won’t be here long so make the best of it.
